For individual, stand-alone documentary films with a runtime of 40 minutes or longer.
Eligibility
Films must have been completed between October 2025 and September 2026.
Each film may be submitted to the SIMA Awards only once.
Films entered in previous years are not eligible for resubmission.
We Are Seeking
Original, courageous, and eye-opening work that illuminates the people and movements behind today’s global issues — films that raise essential questions and deepen how we understand and engage with the world.
Multiple Submissions
Entrants are welcome to submit multiple projects and/or enter multiple award categories. For example, you may submit a documentary feature while also entering the Production Company category. Please note that each submission must be completed and checked out separately. If you are submitting more than one feature film, each title must be processed as an individual submission.
